It's important to stretch your imagination and keep your focus forward and up. Tell the Universe what you want not what you don't want. Yes, this is about retraining your brain. It took training to fall into the habit of always asking yourself "what's the worst thing that could possibly happen." Retraining your brain to think positively and increasing your appreciation of life truly does cause more delightful things to happen in your life. Try one of these exercises. Share your findings with a friend. It will make their day, too.
WRITE THE RESUME YOU WISH YOU HAD.
- Include experiences you would like to have. Claim you have already had them.
- Identify knowledge skills and abilities you have, or would like to have. Use superlatives to describe yourself.
- Name famous people as references: anyone who has been important in shaping your thinking, living or dead, whether you've met them, read their book, or just heard of them. Cite them as a personal reference.
- The purpose is simply to think big, to aim high, and to feel good while you're writing it. When you share it with a friend they will probably tell you that you've already got those talents. They will want to add to your list.
- My desired resume of the future is available to you upon request. Simply email me. I'll send it, and I'd love to see yours. It's all part of articulating your wishes to the Universe.
Channel your truth
- Imagine that it's some date far in the future and someone is channeling you. You are speaking to the people who are anxious to hear your wisdom posthumously. What do you have to say? What is your truth? What have you learned? What's your sense of humor like? What is important from your afterlife perspective?
Envision more joy, prosperity and health for yourself
- Write "Wouldn't it be lovely if...." on an index card put it on your dashboard, or in the ashtray of your car. When you see it remember to complete the sentence as many times as you can.
Keep checking this page I expect to change these exercises often as I learn more, and respond to my own short attention span.
